REAL WORLD APPLICATION

Houston, TX - A barge contained two tanks of Hydrochloric acid, when they started to offload the product. One of the product tanks was found to have a hole in it and product began spraying out.

​

From time of arrival at the barge to leak stoppage was less than one hour. 50 minutes were used in planning and less than 5 minutes to seal the leak. The responders had never seen or used the patch previously.

​

The barge was pressurized to 15 PSI and offloaded. The patch held with no leaks for over 16 hours while the barge was completely offloaded.
